Lurker Day

Nothing here to lurk at these days. I'll post the odd update here instead. If there is anything poker worthy I'll be sure not to bother. I mean really, writing about poker is so 2008 and people just can't stand to spend much time reading about hand histories, bad beats or even tournament victories anymore. I've never provided much in the way of strategy, which would explain the lack of traffic over the years. I never started this space to educate the masses anyway. Who am I to teach people about poker anyway? Just go read books and practice. Continous improvement is a must or you will fall behind the curve very quickly. I really don't think I ever even approached it.

I did play my first round of golf last weekend. I had a two month break and it was the first time I picked up the sticks since leaving the club back in August. We played the tips and I held my own. I had one deuce and shot 3 over 74. I'll take it.

Obviously I won't be attending the WPBT December gathering this year. 2007 and 2009 were my years. If you have a chance to go I highly suggest that you do. If only to see the new and improved Waffles physique. That would be worth it right there.

Happy Lurking.

The second and final sighting of Mark Meloche

It happened in the first half of episode 19. They picked up the action after the flop and Mark was drawing to three outs. The look on his face says it all. He was eliminated in 76th place and wasn't too happy when I got a text from our other friend saying "he's out - Q9 vs A9". I cam just imagine what he was thinking after flopping trips and hoping to get a timely double up. Alas, it was not to be and Mark hit the rail hard. GG buddy. Back to the daily grind & better luck next year.
