Momma's make the world go 'round

A quick update.

My mom is doing a heck of a lot better. In fact, she was released from the stinky hospital on Monday night. She didn't call me until the next afternoon, which is no surprise. She needed her rest. I don't think she got more than 2 hours of solid sleep per night. Having 3 other people who are in the same boat as you are can do that to a person...

I knew she was going to get released shortly after I saw her on Sunday. I could see it in her eyes and in her complextion. She even gave me a fist pump like she had just won a coin flip for all her chips... She wanted out badly and I am glad she is now home safely and resting.

Anyway, I appreciate all of the kind comments and emails. Every little bit helps. So thank you, thank you, and thank YOU.

I'm still on a poker break. No Mookie two weeks in a row... sometimes I amaze myself.

I've been looking for some good books to purchase. I'm having trouble finding an online bookstore that takes paypal and won't over charge me (sometimes double - B&N) for a book I could get at Amazon.com for dirt cheap. I figure if I am going to play less, then I should spend some of that time studying more. It can only help, and when I come back I will be refreshed and ready to start 2009 with a bang.

I can't believe Christmas is only 3 weeks away... and Vegas is only 1 week away for all those who are lucky enough to make it happen.

I remember final tabling the Mookie last year the night before I left for Vegas. I got in a bit of trouble from Lola because we were in the process of moving (way behind on packing) and I was sitting there playing the Mookie the night before I was leaving. Jerkstore big time. I also remember how drunk Don was on BDR. Maybe he will make another appearance on air?
