I don't think I will play in any Tuesday tournaments. 3 days a week is quite enough. In an effort to be BRM conscious, I think its the right decision. I know how to play these games, but my mistakes would be magnified and my luckbox factor would surely fade.
Pick up the pace! No points yet makes Schaubs feel... well actually I'm not sure how I feel just yet. I've got some major leaks, that's all I know... and I don't see them getting patched up anytime soon. I feel I need more patience, that's for sure. I need to pay more attention, I just can't seem to stay focused. Too many distractions, not enough beer.
The highlight of my BBT thus far actually occured an hour before the first event started. I wanted to get out of the house so I decided to drive down the road to the nearest driving range and hit a couple of buckets. I show up and no one else was hitting balls. The range was empty and I had my choice of spots. I always try to take the one closest to the center so I can aim at multiple targets.
I start my routine, stretch etc. Grab the sandwedge and hit a few easy swinging shots. Then I ramp it up and start to take aim for the car out in the middle of the range about 110 yards away. My thing is, and has always been - hit stuff. I love hitting stuff, whether it be the range ball cart dude, or a 150 yard sign, or in this case - a broken down car. Sometimes I'll hit low cuts, other times I'll lob a shot into a net 75 yards away.
The goal this time was to land it on the roof. I took dead aim and miss the first one. A dude walked by as I launch my second shot and it headed straight for the car. I wasn't expecting much as there is a very fine line between actually hitting your target and well, not.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM! The loudest sound I have heard in a long while. It wasn't the car itself I hit though, it was the rear passenger side window! I shattered the sucker on the fly!
Think: Kramer hitting a titliest into a blow hole. It was a pretty sweet feeling and a nice way to get the practice session going. By the end of the two buckets I was exhausted. Rust.
I've never totalled a window like that before. It was fun to actually hit it this time. Next time I guess I'll just have to fly it into the open window instead! Whoever gets to clean up that mess... I got my monies worth. $3 a bucket! Fuckit!
Good luck to all those who try to secure their seat in event #4! See you at the Mook. Go Team!

Two feet of snow.... -28 with wind chill.
Hey - time to forget that golf chit and focus on pokah!
Thanks. Brings back memories. Haven't golfed in 10 years and now looks like I may never again between the arthritus and the stroke. As if I wasn't depressed enough. Oh well, guess I'll have to make do with the Wii
Good luck on the links this year
