Gotta say I am pretty sad to hear that The Mookie got hijacked and kicked to the curb. The Mookie was one of my favorite tournaments when I used to actually have time to play online poker. I even came close to winning it once! LOL. I've finished second I think twice and once was the Wednesday right before we were all heading down to Vegas for WPBT 2007. I remember Don being drunk as fuck. In fact I am pretty sure Buddy still uses some of those recordings on his show. Maybe one day I will play in The Dank... but it won't be anytime soon.

I had a problem with it being called the Dank when it was just bloggers reffering to it that way because the Danks took it over but I have no problems with an official rename. I'm sorry to say that Mookie gave it up and while yes it would have been nice to keep the Mookie as a homage to its founder since someone else is putting in the effort to keep it going, and believe me it was a struggle to keep a venerable blogger game alive, at least by recent turnouts before Donkey Island, if it gets named after them then more power to them.
